This seminar will introduce you to trademarks, patents, trade secrets, industrial designs, and copyrights, and explain how protecting your creations through IP rights can give you an advantage over your competition. The presentation also introduces the importance of considering intellectual property early to avoid common mistakes such as: accidental disclosure, insufficient patentability / registrability research, infringement, etc. Having a greater understanding of the various types of intellectual property allows an entrepreneur the opportunity to make more informed business decisions and to maximize how they may incorporate these valuable assets to best reach their business objectives.
