Meet The Speaker:
Patricia Dent is the Business Mentor and CEO of Ask for Directions Training and Grow Vantage Inc. As a certified coach, business mentor and entrepreneur, she has held almost 7,000 training and coaching sessions to allow early stage entrepreneurs to start and grow their business and become profitable sooner. Effective growth is achieved by the combination of just-in-time business coaching using a strategic and solutions-based approach, a supportive community and training on practical and up-to-date methods of building a business, which are delivered by entrepreneurial experts.
In addition to her entrepreneurial expertise, Patricia also brings over 30 years of experience in corporate organizations from start-ups to institutions in sectors that include: financial, health, event marketing, entrepreneurial growth and professional services. She has extensive experience in communications, marketing, administration, event and facility management, with companies that include Bell Mobility, “CEO of the Year” and “Top 40 Under 40” Programs, the Toronto Stock Exchange, Ontario Centres of Excellence and Toronto Rehab Hospital.
A past president of the Barrie Chamber of Commerce, and former board member of several not-for-profits, Patricia has an Hons. BA in Sociology (U of T), Marketing certification (Ryerson University), and certifications in CRM, Coaching, and events (CMP). She and her husband Rob have two grown daughters, two grandchildren and a passionate love of animals.
